Georgia State Erases Turner Field and Welcomes Latest in FieldTurf Technology

Georgia State Stadium, the new home of the Georgia State University Panthers and former ballpark of Major League Baseball's Atlanta Braves, will debut with the newest, most advanced monofilament FieldTurf surface available.
Atlanta, Georgia, June 30, 2017 - A high-performance synthetic turf system is currently being installed at Georgia State Stadium, formerly Turner Field. Planned to debut on Aug. 31 when the Georgia State University Panthers host Tennessee State University, the new surface features FieldTurf’s latest monofilament technology. Construction is set to be complete in mid- July.
